Lost in the Shuffle

Ever feel like Life is just flying by? You wake up on morning a young mother then you look in the mirror only to see that it's been 24 year? WTH? I miss My sweet babies. Who are these young adult/teens that have replaced them? Where can i find a clock that turns back time? Please someone tell me.

WAIT! I think I found a way to relive some of that time. SCRAPPING! But then I get sad because I sucked at taking picture of the kids. You see a totally awesome page and think i could do that...oh but wait my adults will not let me take a picture of them. Hmmmm what is a Girl to do.

Oh I think I might just have to create a book for them with the pictures I have now. Okay everyone here is the Challenge of the Month. Create a Super layout using photo's of your child/childern hiding from the Camera.

WOOT WOOT they going to Love me someday ! I just know it!

Summer is suppose to here in Michigan.....But I think we missed! Today is My 14yr olds last day of school. Summer Vacation is here already! But we don't even have Summer!

HMM.. What have I been up the Last few Weeks.
Not a lot Dragging my buns around yard doing work and a lot of nothing.
Have I scrap...very little
I made recipe cards for a swap on Cafemom.I did sign up for some new swaps i guess i need to start working them huh?

I need a swift kick in the behind to get me moving!

Look around your house for things to use..Like Pop can tabs for ribbon pulls,notebook paper,markers,paper bags,hole punch,cereal boxes & Etc...
These are just a few ideas of the top of my head.
1)Paper bags make Great Flowers
2)Cereal boxes make chip board
3)Markers on a sponge spray lightly with water smear across paper
4)Flip the paper over use the back fold a corner to show.
5) Beer caps
6) Buttons off old clothing ie if you have a photo of kid in something that is now trashed pull buttons off.
7) Jean pockets make great pages
8) Sew a flower into paper. Needle and thread (under a $1.00)

I made this book last night for Grandma who was recently placed in a nursing home. This was a very hard task as Iwas asked to keep it simple,Very Simple :(

Everyone is busy with Family this week,But what about people without family? Personally, I'm very lucky to be the baby of 10 siblings..(Scary thought there..Never thought I would say that!) So, I have a rather large extended family. But what about our elderly living in Nursing homes who have no one? So, I was thinking about putting together a Card swap for the Elderly.What a great Smile it would put on some of faces ~:) Just a thought about a way to share my love of a hobby with others who need a little pick me up.

Maybe I got up to early. I have two of my Great Nephews visiting me.Who are both boys(4) and rose at the crack of dawn after finally collasping from exhustion while telling wild stories to one another at 11:45 pm last night.I pray Nap time come quickly with a warm cozy bed for me too.

Shimmer Mist spray

Shimmer Mist Spray

Shimmer Mist Sprays are one of the most sought after scrapbooking and cardmaking products on the market today. Supplies:
Pearl-Ex Pigment Powder - color(s) of your choice (Jacquard)
Pump Spray Bottle
Non Aerosol Hairspray
Small Spoon
For this recipe, I will be using a 2-ounce pump spray bottle but you can use any size that you have handy.
1. Fill the spray bottle halfway with non-aerosol hairspray
2. Add about three small spoonfuls of Pearl-Ex Pigment powder to the bottle with hairspray
3. Shake well and have fun!

1 this is a green one I made that is more on the transparent side as you can see on the white paper... And those are the things I used. .. I used equal parts of water and alcohol, added some perfect pearls and about 20 drops of the tim holtz alcohol ink.. I got the sprayer bottle from walmart fo 50 cents..

In this picture is the altering I did to the one in Pic 1.. I added about 3 drops of the lime green paint, and 3 of the other color.. I added some antique gold powder and some brilliant gold powder...and my green mist is now a pretty brownish gold as you can see on the paper...
Play with what you have.. I'm sure the possibilties are endless.. Oh the only thing is you have to shake realy well...Good Luck, and show me what you come up with.. I don't have reinkers, but if I did they would be more colorful.. So if you have some let me know how they work out.. Acrylic paint seems to do the trick though.. as long as it's thinned out, it works.. I'll be playing tomorrow with more colors..LOL
If you plan on using these on your LO, make sure that all the items you are using are acid free..
I know you really can't see the shimmer, but it's there
Oh, there are several ways to make these, but I just want to be on the safe side and use what I have at home, and try to make them acid free..
My friend used clothes dye from walmart.. and hers are really colorful.. But I haven't tried that yet.. But I'm sure reinkers work just as well..

I'm made this cards today. I used Autumn leaves clear stamp scribbles hearts and stars. After stamping the stars Glossy accent was used to give the dimension.I stamped them on CTMH Tan &White cardstock. I cut my card base at 5x8 folded it at 4inch.I used CTHM Black cardstock as the base.I will be mailing this card out today for a Young man who is in the hospital. In the inside I will stamp a Get Well stamp. Enjoy my Collection and leave me a comment.

Crazy November.....

Well, it's been a very long November! Where do I start... first Gordon is in Jobs bank(paid to stayed home) Which i thought would be great for the kitchen.WRONG! It's been almost 3 months of no kitchen. It's driving me nuts.
My Mother in law turn 60 on november 20th. I did manage to squeak out a GRANDMA book but my printer is down so no photo's. But each Grandkid signed it and wrote alittle something to her. She Loved it.Oh Crap I didn't get a picture of it. I'll have to snag one when i'm down there sometime. I love it!
Great Grandma had a stroke in the back part of her brain.So we've been running to hospital to be with her. Then she got moved to rehab a few ago where well She is 90 but man it's heartbreaking.Then right after thanksgiving the doctor told us it was time for hospice to take over case. UGH! NOT MY GRANDMA GREAT! The meeting with hospice is today.

Monday December 1st Aunt Debbie (46) collapsed in her bathroom.She is now in hospital (ICU). After two days of thinking it's an infection in her brain we find out she had 2 strokes one on each side of her brain.UGH!!!

I want to scrap away my thoughts. But man with everything going on and Gordon home, I just can seem to find the time.
WEll Today Friday December 5th I have to Scrap! :) I need to make to projects for two 6 week challenges I'm in. Last week I Sucked ..Came in LastBut then again I did it 2 hours before dead line. My Photo sucked but my flowers and fairy look pretty cool in real life oh well everyone hated it.
I'm off to do Better! I need a Win!!

Today is Sunday. Another long day of working on the Kitchen. We have so much to do. Things left to do... Put up Drywall,Scrape Ceiling,put down flooring,paint back splash,Put up Cabinets.

Well we Found out Friday Gordon will be getting Layoff in a few weeks. So with that being said we'll need to saving money.So my granite counter tops will not be happening.I'm so upset. But I totally understand the idea of saving money for the long haul.So I guess We need to look at some cheap counter tops to last us till the job thing gets better.

So with that idea of saving money. My Scrapping budget just got cut off. Okay Now I'm TICKED! We just got a hobby Lobby too. I should be able to get a ton of my own stuff done. I'm kinda excited about that thought but what about the buying part.....WA

Well I'm off to eat some food and drink my coffee.
